Between March and April 2021, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality convened a stakeholder group to inform potential revisions to Wyoming’s Surface Water Quality Standards, Water Quality Rules and Regulations, Chapter 1. A final report summarizing the process and outcomes was shared with the stakeholder group in September 2021

The process was intended to also help WDEQ/WQD fulfill obligations under the federal Clean Water Act that direct states to review their surface water quality standards at least once every three years, known as a triennial review.
